One Million Acts of Green

Posted In: Marketing by Gregor Anton

Last fall, CBC and The Hour have mobilized Canadians to commit One Million Acts of Green. In partnership with Cisco, and the power of their ‘Human Network Effect’ the collective goal is to change how we live and how we treat the planet, one act at a time.

What is One Million Acts of Green?

One Million Acts of Green is a massive, nationwide environmental movement. It’s not about overhauling your life it’s about doing one single act.

The campaign officially kicked off on Tuesday October 21, 2008 at 11pm on The Hour. See http://green.cbc.ca/default.aspx

Paradox of our Age

Posted In: Motivational Quotes by Gregor Anton

By the 14th Dalai Lama

We have bigger houses but smaller families;
More conveniences, but less time;
We have more degrees, but less sense;
More knowledge, but less judgment;
More experts, but more problems;
More medicines, but less healthiness;
We’ve been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever but have less communication.
We have become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are times of fast foods but slow digestion;
Tall men but short character;
Steep profits but shallow relationships.
It’s a time when there is much in the window, but nothing in the room.
