RSS What? You’re not the first to say that…  RSS is one of those mysterious techie tools that many don’t understand.  And it’s not so much that it’s hard to understand, it’s just hard to explain what RSS does and how it will help you.

In a nutshell, RSS feeds have content come to you instead of you going to the content.
…and it does so without email

This is really a loaded question. Windows Vista is probably the biggest failure in the history of Microsoft. From day one the operating system was plagued with numerous problems and angry users who suddenly missed their old XP or 2000 operating systems. It was almost impossible for Microsoft to release an operating system that was worse then Vista, or more hated, so if that were the case the reputation of Windows may have been irreparably harmed. That being said, Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system is far superior to not only Vista, but all of the Windows operating systems that came before it.

If you’re not using Google Docs, you may be missing out!

Google Docs is a powerful online collaboration tool that lets you create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online, from any computer (PC or MAC), without the need for Microsoft Office.

You can safely store and organize your work, collaborate in real time (meaning two or more people can edit the same document live and you can see another’s changes live), and you can control who can see your documents.

There are many ways to make money online particularly if you are a good writer or are good with computers. There are multiple opportunities that are legal, legitimate and pay enough to justify your time. Most opportunities are flexible so you have the opportunity to put alot of time into it or just a little depending on your needs. The biggest step is the first step in getting out and looking for the opportunity that fits you.

Keeping a database of your prospects, clients, and strategic vendors should be a priority in any small business.  But how do you do it?  And what tools work best?

Your database will make you rich, your products and services unfortunately will not.  The more people you have in your database, the more prospects, clients, and referrals you’ll get.

There are several ways to go about “Contact Management” and I wanted to give you a quick overview and point you in the right direction, to get the most bang for your buck in the least amount of time.

For the techies reading this, I know I know, Delicious has been around longer than Facebook and Twitter, yet somehow it’s been overlooked…

What is Delicious?

Delicious, formerly del.icio.us is a social bookmarking tool.  You know how you can save your favorites in Internet Explorer or Firefox?  Well this goes one step further.  It allows you “tag” bookmarks, share them, and view other bookmarks.  All while keeping your bookmarks save from computer crashes by hosting them for you, meaning you can access them anywhere on anyone’s computer, all safe, and free of charge!

You have probably received countless emails with signature files.  A signature file is the file at the end of the email that adds extra information.  Some people use the signature file to include their name, title, and company name.  Others personalize it with their favorite quote.  Whatever your desire, you can make a signature file that works for you.

A signature file is an easy way to market your business!

Setting up your signature file with your website address lets everybody you write to know about your site.  This is an easy way to market your site and its products without incurring any extra cost.

When is the last time you backed up your computer?

There is an old saying… Backup Early, Backup Late, Backup Often!
Backup your important data all the time.  Better safe than sorry!

As our computers advance and we utilize it more and more, we tend to store more and more data on our computer.  From important business records, accounting, to important word documents, resumes, scanned documents, wedding pictures, and so on.  Our computers have become a major storage unit that like your important documents such as passports, certificates, etc must be safe guarded.
