December 31st is coming up and before you know it you’ll be counting down the seconds to the start of the new year and the start of a new you.   New Year resolutions are set, sadly they aren’t kept, and often quickly forgotten.

If you’re serious about keeping your New Years resolution and following through then you should spend some time checking and re-checking your resolutions list and asking yourself one question…  Are you setting your aim too high?

For me, a vacation is a great time to reflect on where I am at in life and business, where I want to go, and what the steps are to get me there.

As I’m sitting here answering some emails before going out body boarding, I realized that I need to update a different type of board… my dream board.

What is a dream board?

A dream board is a visual of your goals and dreams.  For example, if financial freedom or retirement is one of your goals, then a picture of an island, a sunny vacation spot, or the like may be a great “anchor” or goal picture that goes on your dream board.

If you’re having trouble getting inspired, it may be simply your choice of verbs.  Here are 5 action verbs that can help get you inspired and get you out of your rut.

We’ve all been stuck in that place where things just don’t seem to go forward.  We have trouble getting motivated and our goals seem either out of reach, or too weak.  In short, we are uninspired!   Master motivator Tony Robbins tells us that it’s not that people are lazy, it’s that most people have weak, or as he puts it, impotent goals.
