It’s 2010. The joke is over.  Time to get  serious and make marketing a priority in your business.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, let me give you a huge tip.  All functions of business are subservient to marketing.  Marketing makes the phone ring.  When done right the sales person has to just take the order.   Marketing isn’t a mystery, it’s not rocket science, it is easier than you think. With the right set of tools, guidance, and coaching.

2009 has been an interesting year to say the least.  The world economy has impacted pretty much everyone on this planet.   With crisis there always comes opportunity.  The Japanese and Chinese actually use the same symbol for crisis as they do for opportunity.  And we all know we’ve seen plenty of crisis.

With corporations downsizing and cutting costs, the small business world has felt the impact.  While this has been disastrous for some, it’s been an opportunity for others.  Marketers have felt both sides of the coin.  While some cut costs on the most important aspect of business, others invest in Marketing to expand or in many cases, to retain marketshare and break even.

December 31st is coming up and before you know it you’ll be counting down the seconds to the start of the new year and the start of a new you.   New Year resolutions are set, sadly they aren’t kept, and often quickly forgotten.

If you’re serious about keeping your New Years resolution and following through then you should spend some time checking and re-checking your resolutions list and asking yourself one question…  Are you setting your aim too high?

The history of upside down Christmas trees goes as far back as the middle ages, when residents of Europe hung their xmas trees upside down as a representation of the holy trinity.  Of course, that is not the most common method of displaying today’s Christmas tree, as what it now represents, right side up, is the tip of the tree pointing to heaven. Because of this modern attitude and style, there are those that think an upside down Christmas tree could be a sacrilege or at least a sign of disrespect.

Have you been updating your Marketing Calendar? Mine has a big red star on December 26th and the word Boxing Day Promo next to it.  You know what that means right? Time for me to schedule a boxing day promo!   Here it is…

As you may know, the majority of my leads come from email promotions, it truly is a great way to prospect.  I swear by it so much that I started my own email promotion business.  I just found that other services weren’t reliable and cost too much. Not to mention that there are very few companies that still offer email promotion. I offer this service to select individuals only and decided to make it available to you!

Happy Thanksgiving USA

Posted In: Holidays by Gregor Anton

Happy Thanksgiving to our American neighbours to the south!

Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day, is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, and has been an annual tradition in the United States since 1863.

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks to God for helping the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony survive the brutal winter.
The first Thanksgiving feast lasted three days providing enough food for 53 pilgrims and 90 Indians.  The feast consisted of fowl, venison, fish, lobster, clams, berries, fruit, pumpkin, and squash. However, the traditional Thanksgiving menu often features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.
