Here is an interesting article from Yahoo News that got my attention.  Scroll down for the full story.

Since you’re reading this it’s fair to say, the headline got your attention as well.

The headline is the most important for your marketing message.  It needs to grab attention and make your prospect stop in the street and go, what was that?  I want to know more.

Vancouver’s Talk 1410 CFUN Off Air

Posted In: Media by Gregor Anton

I received a call earlier from a client that informed me that Talk 1410 is off the air and their employees have been laid off.   We had scheduled some advertising for the upcoming Life-Changing Workshop and were informed of the change.   Some call this a conspiracy to keep talk-shows off the air for the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympics.    It’s definitely a shame to see talk-radio disappear.

A friend forwarded me this YouTube link in an email and I was absolutely stunned…  You have to see it for yourself to get the full story of what happened when this girl, a cheerleader for the Washington RedSkins, got a flu-shot in light of the H1N1 Swine-flu scare and is now disabled…   PS:  This is not a Halloween joke.

Aloha from Lulu’s Surf Bar on Waikiki Beach!

You may have seen this on the news, it really is a remarkable picture…  I saw it last night at my hotel in Honolulu, along with more time lapsed pictures to proof that this is the real deal and not some photoshop scam.  …It’s always great to see Canadian content abroad!

Today I met Spandy Andy at a business golf seminar.  For those of you that don’t know Spandy Andy (www.SpandyAndy.com), he is an entertainer with a mission to Perform, Inspire and Spread Smiles.  You may have seen him around Vancouver’s Robson Street in front of Lululemons, at the beaches in Kitsilano or English Bay in the West End.

Be sure to check out his videos!

Finally an upbeat, no non-sense, just the facts newspaper article!  This morning Alexandra Lopez-Pacheco of the Financial Post published “How a positive outlook helps business” and I highly recommend you read it too!  (and take action).

With all the doom and gloom in the media and all the recession talk it is hard to stay positive.  I’ve been saying it for a while now…   You can choose to be part of the recession, or you can choose to opt-out of the recession!

…or as I like to call it, the “economic condition”.  There have been 23 similar downturns in the economy and 24 recoveries!

Congratulations Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk on Twitter) for well exceeding 1,000,000 twitter followers… and beating CNN to it!

What is Twitter?

More and more people are starting to take an interest in this social media site, including small business owners.  Many ask, what is Twitter?   DW-TV said it best…

Side note:  If you’re looking for less doom and gloom, this German media is a great source for factual news.  Better news yet for iphone users, they have a free app that brings you radio, news, and video, all free, and in English, among many other languages.
